Trailrider Magazine - readers ride 09

 After about 4 days of heavy rain , we headed north To Imbil for the 2 day Trailrider ride; and we were Big Kev excited ! Big Bill , Boyley and the rest of the SCAR boys put on an awesome 2 days , taking us through some of the best and varied terrain around . Day 1 ; After only about 20 minutes of riding , Lincoln went bush and ended up wearing his asshole for an eye patch, breaking his collar bone, and spent the rest of the weekend on the Jimmy and Cokes .

Myself being relatively new to the sport , spent much of the ride behind the fast guys and as such , kept getting roosted at every opportunity by assholes like Big Grant , BJ and Danny . I tried to get my own back on Dan while he was stopped , but I stalled ; so Dan dropped his bike and tackled me instead !

The next highlight was Boyley , who set a cracking pace through the bush as lead rider , repairing punctured tyres and looking after everybody ; that is until his bike stopped at a log and he didn’t ; “crusty demons time “ with a beautiful superman stunt , minus the landing or the hot chicks ! Boyley spent the rest of his weekend telling us how big his balls were , but he still looked after us all the same .

There were a few ladies on the ride who held their own , cruising past many of the blokes , who were parked in the scrub on their sides ( me included ), while the chicks blasted up the hills with little or no effort ; I’ll try roosting them next time if they’re that good ! Great day out , made better by a good feed , few beers and even better amount of bullshit and laughs about our day .

Day 2 started with Tuffy ( from Trailrider ) taking more photos as he did the day before . Dan saw this as an opportunity and pulled a wheelie in the carpark ; and subsequently went ass up off the back , crashed and burned , Ha Ha ! Once we got going , the riding was even better than the day before, with open flowing and faster riding .

 Less punctures and hold ups than day 1 and some of the most enjoyable riding I have done . Highlights include Dave Berry’s goggles being filled up with mud by Rapid , and Danny heading bush over the bars ! Then I came cruising round a big open bend with Pete the corner man giving me the signal to get on the gas up the hill – so I did - to the applause and laughter of the waiting crowd , as I spun around on my side totally out of control in the greasy red mud .

Daryl laughed at me on his way past as he then proceeded to do the same thing – it was slippery ; even more applause . Unfortunately for Daryl he came unstuck about 20 minutes later and wrecked his knee and leg , but still managed to ride for another hour till we met up with the smoko truck . A bit later one more roost from BJ signalled the end of the ride , and what a ride it was . Thanks to Big Bill , Boyley , the Scar crew and Tuffy for an awesome 2 days . Andy Nelson ( aka ,the horse)
